Nick joined the Walker Supply, Inc. team on October 2012 after serving as an Assistant Field Manager with the Pittsburgh Pirates for two seasons. He graduated from Penn State in 2010 with a B.S. in Turfgrass Science and immediately started a job with the Philadelphia Eagles as their Horticulturalist/2nd Assistant. When the opportunity arose in early 2011 to move back to Pittsburgh to take a job with the Pirates, Nick jumped at the opportunity to work for his hometown team.
As a Senior at Penn State, Nick took a semester off to participate in a 9 month internship with the Pittsburgh Steelers. While with the Steelers, Nick met Bob Windsheimer, WSI’s COO, and Pete Severino, WSI’s Robinson Warehouse Manager, who are both on the Heinz Field Game Day Crew. Nick stayed in touch with both, and after the 2012 MLB season ended, Nick reached out to Bob to discuss finding a job with a bit better work-life balance. This led to Nick becoming the first WSI employee to focus on the non-golf market as their Athletic Field Specialist.
Today, Nick recently celebrated his 1st wedding anniversary with his wife Heather. In his spare time, Nick enjoys all things hockey oriented as he has spent his entire life playing and coaching ice hockey. He also enjoys the outdoors and will find just about any excuse to be outside, which usually involves his dog Koda. He also has joined the Heinz Field Game Day Crew bringing everything full circle.
