As 2017 winds down, we want to reflect on the past year, as well as take a brief look into 2018.
This past year was a monumental year at Walker Supply. We completed a bold move in acquiring 3 locations in eastern PA. Our newly acquired Lancaster, Philadelphia, and Scranton locations are ideally located to cover all of eastern PA, while our Pittsburgh location covers western PA, most of West Virginia, parts of Ohio, and western New York. In combining two amazing teams, we have become a stronger organization, better equipped to supply all of your T&O needs. We have filled many positions to strengthen weaknesses in our operation, greatly expanding our footprint and solidifying our place as a leading supplier in the T&O distribution space. This could not be accomplished without the great customers that have been developed over the years. In short, 2017 has been a productive year for our organization and a milestone year in our history.
As we look forward to 2018, we see good things ahead. We will continue looking at and introducing new products that will make our customers’ jobs easier. We will continue our ongoing training of territory managers, allowing them to be the best consultative partners in the industry. We perpetually analyze the strengths and weaknesses in the organization. This analysis allows us to make strategic moves to make Walker Supply a stronger organization, better able to serve our customers’ needs. As a result, we are pursuing additional hires to strengthen our coverage of underserved areas, and we are reviewing different possibilities to improve our logistics and delivery of materials. Yes, 2018 looks to be another great year! We couldn’t be more excited for what’s in store, and hopefully all of our efforts will further us toward our number one goal - making you a “Customer for Life”.
In closing this year, we would be remiss not to mention just how important our great family of customers are to us. Our success is in large credit to their support and ongoing loyalty. We would like to thank them for entrusting us to be responsible for part of their budgetary expenditures. If you are not yet a customer, we invite you to join our family in 2018.
